What we conceive of as our deeply ingrained sense of ‘I’ is an illusion. An illusion to which most of us cling throughout our lives with sleeping contentment, hunger for the material, ravenous pride, carelessness, angst or deep unknowing futility.

That which we know as ‘I’ is not real ... it is the mind’s most amazing manoeuvre to help us construct a sense of direction and meaning.

But if the ‘I’ is not solid and to be relied upon beyond the surface of ordinary life ... what is?

To discover what is real ... ‘I’ must surrender to the greater whole of life that is within me and beyond me. Only when ‘I’ step aside so that my being may consciously become immersed in the
archetypal ocean of the psyche ... ‘I’ may awaken and discover who I truly am.

How do I, Jessica, surrender? Through play. Through deep, passionate and sacred play ... or lîla ... or sha’ashua.
